Place 10: Rottumer Island (PC + Console)
It all starts on a small fictional island in the North Sea. You’ll find straight roads, small plots—and above all, lots of water! Not only is the island surrounded by it, there are also ditches, rivers, and lakes within. With decorative details like Dutch road signs, sheep on the dikes, and lush vegetation, this place gives off serious holiday vibes. But you’re not just here to relax—there’s work to do. You’ve got 3 dairy farms, an arable farm, a greenhouse operation, a horse ranch, a biogas plant, nearly 90 fields, and two forests. There are sheep pens, cow pastures, and even a buildable plot near the dock. Most fields range from one to two hectares, fitting perfectly with the small, modest farms. So this map is best suited for small to medium machinery—XXL equipment really isn’t the vibe here. It’s quiet too: hardly any AI traffic, just the occasional tourist walking by. Visually, there might be more detailed maps out there, but this one nails the island atmosphere. If you’re into oldtimers and cozy farms, this is a great choice.
Place 9: Alma Missouri (PC + Console)
Next up: off to the USA! Based on a real town in Missouri, this map screams big American farming. Fields are up to 40 hectares, roads are wide, and there are three XXL farms—one of which is your starting farm. That one’s fully loaded: massive silo, workshop hall, stables for horses, sheep, goats, chickens, and cows! The other two farms are more basic and less exciting visually. More exciting are the custom production chains: like a corn drying facility that uses propane, or a popcorn factory where you can use dried corn and butter. You can also make ketchup from tomatoes and water, and then use that with cheese and flour to produce pizzas. Around 40 fields await, ranging from very large to a few small plots. There’s also a forest and a biogas plant. Alma Missouri is available for both PC and consoles, and especially console players will enjoy getting the big machines out here.
Place 8: Nordfriesische Marsch (PC)
Things get even bigger on this 4x map. Some fields exceed 100 hectares—and missions here can earn you over $50,000. Perfect for XXL machinery, and works great with helpers like Autodrive and Courseplay thanks to the wide and straight roads. Visually it’s not the prettiest map, but its strength lies in crops and productions: You can grow rye, spelt, spring barley, triticale, and alfalfa in addition to standard crops. And when it comes to productions, it gets wild: Before you start, you’ll need power—e.g., from the biogas plant. Then you can run composters, a refinery, recycling station, sugar factory, gravel works, and more. You’ve got nearly 90 fields adding up to over 1000 hectares, plus water ditches, coastline, forests, and free space for custom builds. There’s too much to show in one video—but if you’re into big fields and complex production, Nordfriesische Marsch is a must-try. It’s PC only, though.
Place 7: Pallegney (PC + Console)
Off to Lorraine, France! From here on, this ranking is more about taste—because what’s coming is top-tier in design and tech. You might know this map from FS22, where it already stood out with custom buildings. Thanks to FS25’s graphics, it now looks even better. You start on a charming old farm with chickens roaming freely, a cow barn, and several halls with a decent starter fleet. Every building is custom-made for the map—same goes for the village, factories, and even the local equipment dealer. From your farm, you can work the many surrounding fields, ranging from one to ten hectares, all with unique shapes. There’s a second, smaller farm farther out. The map doesn’t add new crops or flashy productions, but it’s a visual gem—from the cheese dairy to glistening rooftops in the rain. If you love great design, you should check out the real-world-inspired Pallegney. Available on PC and consoles.
Place 6: Oberschwaben (PC + Console)
Now it’s back to Germany—more precisely, to the hilly Swabian region! The fields here are mostly small, between one and three hectares, with the biggest reaching six. Off the main road, you’ll find meadows, pastures, and large forests, all accessible via narrow rural tracks. There are three farms: one for small/old equipment, one modern mid-size setup, and a third that’s older but has room for cows, pigs, and gear. You’ll also find a public works yard, a large biogas plant, a sewage facility, and a contractor. What really makes this map shine are the fine details: custom road signs, a farm shop, plus a grass drying facility and TMR mixer. No field entrances though—just drive in wherever it works. Oberschwaben is based on a real area and is available for both PC and consoles. A scenic, charming, and diverse experience!
Place 5: Szpakowo (PC + Console)
Here’s a hidden gem: This map’s attention to detail is stunning! You’ll spot passengers at bus stops, vintage tractors on nearby farms, road signs, front yards, a walkable equipment dealer, new fruit textures, flood-prone meadows—you name it. And the craziest part? It’s a 1:1 recreation of a real Polish village. Almost every house, tree, and road matches reality. That makes it feel incredibly authentic—something many GIANTS maps lack. There are about 190 fields and meadows, all managed from three farms. Or build your own on a free plot. This map is perfect for small machines and oldtimers, just like the tiny roads and fields suggest. Szpakowo is available for PC and consoles.
Place 4: Schwesing Bahnhof (PC)
Another real-world map: Welcome to North Friesland! This huge 4x map has over 250 fields covering 1000 hectares. But it’s not just about size—there are tiny 1-2 hectare fields too. Perfect for multiplayer, with 18 customizable farms, each with its own focus. Despite the size, design hasn’t been neglected. You’ll find pretty corners everywhere—like rail crossings, ditches, ponds, and field entrances. Realism fans will love extras like extended soil angles and crop residue destruction. Just note: Schwesing Bahnhof is PC only due to its size.
Place 3: Pfraunstetten (PC + Console)
Staying real: This map captures the charm of a small, idyllic village—though it feels completely different from Oberschwaben, even though it’s by the same modder, Jogi. Fields are larger here—up to 16 hectares—but tight roads and entrances make big machinery tough to handle. You farm from two nicely made yards. One has a biogas plant and greenhouses right next door. Each farm features custom production facilities: a dairy, grass dryer, TMR mixer, and even small farm shops where you can sell goods—on your farm and your neighbors’. Everywhere you look, you’ll spot lovely touches: horse paddocks, fallen trees, bus stops, garden gnomes…
And don’t miss the strawberry field where villagers come to pick their berries. There are also large forests to work in. Pfraunstetten is beautiful and a lot of fun to play. It will be available for PC and consoles once released.
Place 2: Hof Bergmann (PC)
If you love small-scale production, this is the map for you! On your farm, you’ll find a butter churn (just add milk), cheese and mozzarella making stations, a slaughterhouse, and vegetable beds for cauliflower, cucumbers, and onions. Further out, there’s a fishing pond where you can feed and catch fish, then smoke and sell them. There’s also wine production, an oil press, a quarry for lime extraction, and loads of charming shops to sell your goods.
Despite the many productions, agriculture still plays a big role: There’s a large farm with barns for pigs, sheep, cows, chickens, and rabbits, plus a horse paddock nearby. Fields range from small to large, and there’s a biogas plant too. Hof Bergmann isn’t a huge map, but it’s packed with unique ideas and beautiful builds. Unfortunately, this map is PC-exclusive, too.
Place 1: North Frisian 25 (PC + Console)
And in first place: back to the North Sea—North Friesland, to be exact. Here, farming meets vacation feeling. You’ve got 3 dairy farms, a pig fattening operation, and a contractor yard—each beautifully designed with great attention to detail. That detail extends to the whole map: lawn robots in gardens, water ditches, mini construction sites, beaches, sheep on dikes, railway crossings, tourist info boards, and more. Everywhere you look, there’s something to discover. It all just feels… real—even though it’s fictional!
What makes it even better: You can play the map your way. Fields range from 1 to 11 hectares, and roads are wide enough for any machine size. Don’t like a farm? Rebuild it. Love forestry? There are huge woods to harvest. Productions are standard, but the biogas plant can process potatoes too. Note: The dealer has business hours, and there’s a bridge that blocks large vehicles. Nordfriesisches Land runs on PC and consoles. If you like the map, give it a 5-star rating on Modhub!
